If you don't know how to implement this in your Exchange/Office365, you have two options:
- You can send from the default-domain of your account (e.g. info@company.evaluation-tool.com), and then you don't need to do any other mail-setting as it's already configured for you, or
- You can add a new domain to your Otto-account, e.g. by adding an "-s" or "-service" to your company-name, in that case Otto will be directly handling all e-mails via this domain, e.g. company-service.com. In that case, please purchase the additional domain here and then inform us here, when it is done.
To implement sending your e-mails from your "normal" e-mail, e.g. name@company.com if you normally use Microsoft Exchange or Office365
You then do:
- Log into your Otto-service,
- Go to "Tools" --> "Users"
- Choose your sending-user to edit it
- Under "E-mail", choose "External e-mail"
- When you have filled in your desired e-mail address, you'll see a warning message at the bottom of the screen like this:
- When you click the link, you'll get the customized to your domain SPF-record that you need to update your Microsoft Exchange/Office365 with. It will look something like this (but you have to use the very code you see on that page as that is specific to you):
company.com 3600 IN TXT v=spf1 ip4:91.201.63.8 ip4:46.16.232.161
mx:server.sonician.net include:server.sonician.net
mx:server3.sonician.net include:server3.sonician.net ?all
As stated, if you do not know how to do this, we suggest you do either of:
- You can send from the default-domain of your account (e.g. info@company.evaluation-tool.com) and then you don't need to do any other mail-setting as it's already configured for you, or
- You can add a new domain to your Otto-account, e.g. by adding an "-s" or "-service" to your company-name, in that case Otto will be directly handling all e-mails via this domain, e.g. company-service.com. In that case, please purchase the additional domain here and then inform us here, when it is done.
